Privacy Policy

LobolTeam operates the "Driver Card Reader Pro+" Android application and the "Driver Card Reader" iOS application (hereinafter together referred to as the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data. We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Definitions
Service
Service is the "Driver Card Reader Pro+" Android application and the "Driver Card Reader" iOS application operated by LobolTeam.
Personal Data
Personal Data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
Usage Data
Usage Data is data collected automatically either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service.
Information Collection and Use
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.
Types of Data Collected
Personal Data
When using our service, we ask you to provide certain personal information that will allow us to identify you, contact you and be necessary for the operation of our service. This information is stored on our server: https://driver-card-reader.com
Account and email address: On Android you sign in with your Google account, on iOS with Sign in with Apple (if you choose to hide your email address, the relay address provided by Apple is used as your email address). By using your email address, we link your subscription and trial-period entitlement to it, and on this basis we limit the number of devices on which you can use the service at the same time.
Subscription data: On Android the subscription is handled through Google Play: when you make a purchase, we store the purchase identifier (purchase token) issued by Google Play together with a device identifier, and we verify it via Google Play's servers. On iOS the subscription is handled through the App Store: we store the transaction information signed by Apple (original transaction identifier, expiry date) and the account token that links the purchase to your account together with a device identifier, and we receive Apple's server notifications about renewals and cancellations. We use these data to validate your subscription and to keep track of the trial period and the number of devices. The payment itself is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we have no access to your card or bank details.
Driver card number: By using your driver card number, we can limit the number of cards which you can download.
Country you live in: The country in which you live must be taken into account when applying the legislation on rest and driving time. This is how we can determine in which periods you should be considered an international driver.
Tachograph file: A tachograph file contains the driver's personal data: name, date of birth, card number, recorded activities, the registration numbers of the vehicles used and, on second-generation cards, location (GNSS) data. These files reach our server only if you enable one of the following functions. If the "Automatic transmission of the tachograph file" function is enabled in the service, after downloading the card, the file will be uploaded to our server, which forwards it to the specified recipient via an external email delivery service; the file is not stored on our server, only the recipient's address and the delivery status are kept for 30 days. If the "Automatic backup" function is enabled in the service or you manually start the "Backup to cloud" function, all downloaded files will be uploaded to and stored on our server.
Usage Data
When you access the Service with a mobile device, we may collect certain information automatically including the version of the operating system (Android or iOS) and the type of your device (phone), type of connected card reader and diagnostic (usage) data.
Use of Data
Our service uses the collected data for various purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service
- To notify you about changes to our Service
- To provide customer support
- To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
- To monitor the usage of our Service
- To detect, prevent and address technical issues
Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to and process it there.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
We will take all the steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organisation or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
Disclosure of Data
We may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- To comply with a legal obligation
- To protect and defend the rights or property of LobolTeam
- To prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
- To protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
- To protect against legal liability
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Data Retention and Deletion
Usage data and cloud backups will be kept for 1 year after the last use of the service. After this time, they will be automatically deleted, or immediately on request (see Account Deletion).
Subscription and purchase records, device blocks and the date of the first installation are kept for as long as necessary to maintain purchase records and to prevent misuse of the trial period and the device limit, including after account deletion.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time:
- on our website: https://driver-card-reader.com/Account/Delete (sign in with your Google or Apple account),
- in the iOS application under Settings › User account › Delete user account permanently,
- or by email: lobolteam@gmail.com
This deletes your usage data, your cloud backups, your registered devices and the delivery status of emails sent to your own address, and revokes the Sign in with Apple authorisation. The records listed above as kept after account deletion are retained.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. You can cancel it in the subscription management of Google Play or the App Store.
Service Providers
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services or assist us in analysing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Our Service Providers are in particular: Microsoft Azure (hosting and database, EU region), Resend (email delivery), Google (Google Play billing, Google sign-in) and Apple (App Store billing, Sign in with Apple).
We do not sell your data, we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and the Service contains no advertising.
Children's Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 ("Children").
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "effective date" at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
