Infringements

The report collects, from the downloaded data, violations of the driving time, rest period and working time rules, as well as some tachograph handling errors, and marks each one with a severity level.

The report can only be opened if, on the Settings page, you have set the Base country value.

The app classifies the rest periods so as to produce as few and as mild infringements as possible — you can view the classification in the Rest periods report.

What do you see for an item?

  • Infringement — the name of the rule that was violated. Tapping the icon lets you read the text of the relevant regulation (where one exists). At the end of the row are the triangles indicating the severity; tapping them shows the name of the level.
  • Period — when it happened. Tapping the icon opens the Activities list at that point in time.
  • Details — the measured value and, in parentheses, the limit, for example Driving time 57:30 (56:00). If the exceedance may be covered by the exception permitted for returning home, an icon also appears; tapping it lets you read the rule.

With the button in the bottom right, you can open the Activities or Rest periods list.

Severity levels

IndicatorLevel
No specific fine attached — an informational indicator, so that you are aware of it. This applies to minor violations of the working time rules, as well as Incorrect use of switch unit, Missing manual data entry, Probably spent in a vehicle a long rest period, The vehicle was not inspected before departure, Virtual Travel, and a card download made more than 28 days after the previous one.

Most serious infringements

The item labelled Warning, without a triangle (Missing data between the downloaded files), is not an infringement: it indicates that data is missing between two downloads. The app treats this period as rest, so the evaluation around it is uncertain.

Limits

The table shows which measured value corresponds to which level (values are in hours unless stated otherwise):

  • * Only if there was no break or rest of at least 4.5 hours that day.
  • For the daily rest period, the part falling within 24 hours (30 hours for multi-manning) counts.
  • For the weekly working time, the 48-hour limit applies if your weekly average over the Working time frame period exceeds 48 hours; otherwise the 60-hour limit applies.
  • Failure to compensate after two consecutive reduced weekly rest periods is always a very serious infringement; continuous work longer than 6 hours is always a serious infringement.
  • With the Bus driver setting, additional types also appear: driving of more than 3 hours between 22:00 and 6:00, and violation of the 12-day rule.

Filtering

  • Period: Last 7 day, Last 28 day, Last 56 day (this is the default) or Whole period. The app remembers your choice, and the Rest periods report also opens with it.
  • Grouped — infringements of the same type are grouped together, with the count shown in the group header.
  • Severity: the triangle rows in the menu can be switched on and off by level.
  • Filter — the infringement types can be toggled individually, in six groups: Driving Time, Rest time, Working Time, Country code, Tachograph handling and Miscellaneous. The menu also has Select all and Deselect all. Some types are only shown if they apply to you according to your settings.

The evaluation is affected by several settings: Bus driver, Base country (different working time and commuting rules for Italy, Portugal and Poland), Night period, Night work does not limit daily working time, Availability can be considered as a break, Short breaks (<15 min) are not considered work, Working time frame, Duration of vehicle inspection and Card timestamping. See the Settings page.
