Working time summary

The working time summary totals the time spent driving, on other work, on availability and on breaks — day by day and by period, with the values shown next to the icons. If, on the Settings page, Higher wage period is selected, then in separate rows the work done during the higher wage period is shown with blue icons and durations.

Display modes

You choose from the menu how the data should be grouped:

ModeWhat it shows
Weekly/ShiftBroken down by shift, with a weekly summary. A "shift" is the work between two daily rest periods.
Monthly/ShiftBroken down by shift, with a monthly summary.
Weekly/DayBroken down by calendar day, with a weekly summary. (The day boundary is at midnight UTC!)
Monthly/DayBroken down by calendar day, with a monthly summary. (The day boundary is at midnight UTC!)

If a work period spans a month/week boundary, it is assigned to the one in which it started.

What do the values next to the icons mean?

IconValue
Driving time
Other work
Availability time
Breaks during working time
Paid breaks during working time
Period length (in the period summary, the combined length of the shifts, including breaks)
Number of shifts in the period
Number of nights spent in the vehicle – the number of rest periods during which the driver card was in the tachograph for at least 7 hours
Number of vacations in the period

Shift/day detail header

The detail header shows the period's start and end time, as well as its total length.

Shift/day detail

The detail row shows the driver activities performed during the period, broken down by type, regardless of whether they count towards working time. This row also shows the distance travelled during the period.

The distance travelled in a given period cannot always be determined unambiguously from the data downloaded from the driver card. In some cases the distance travelled can be estimated more accurately, which we mark in red. In other cases we can only rely on the driving time, which we mark in orange.

Below the detail row, in a separate row, those of these that count towards working time are totalled. Driving and other work always count towards working time. Whether availability counts as working time depends on how you set the Paid availability option on the Settings page. The break during working time counts towards working time depending on, and to the extent, that you set it in the Paid break option.

Rest period

By enabling the Rests menu option, rest periods can also be shown between shifts. The rest period row shows the start and end time of the rest, as well as its length. After the length, in brackets, it shows how much of that falls within 24 hours (30 hours for multi-person crews) counted from the start of the shift.

For the earliest rest period, only the end is shown; for the most recent, still ongoing rest period, only the start and the length elapsed so far are shown.

Period summary header

The header before the period shows the period's start and end date.

Period summary

After each period there is a summary row, which totals the detail rows and also contains further summarized information:

  • the combined length of the period's shifts;
  • the distance travelled during the period;
  • the number of shifts in the period;
  • the number of nights spent in the vehicle;
  • the number of vacations;
  • the totals of manually recorded note rows (see Activities).

Further menu options

  • Rests — show rest periods in the list (in shift view).
  • Summaries — show only summary rows, for a compact overview.
  • Toggle the sort order for the period and the days (e.g. Period ↓ - Day ↓).
  • Showing the higher wage period rows — the menu item's label is the configured period itself (e.g. 22:00 - 06:00), and it is only visible if, on the Settings page, Higher wage period is selected.
