Information

This page shows the header information from data downloaded from a driver card: the identifying details of the card and its holder, the circumstances of the download, and the first and last recorded use.

Card holder

  • Surname and first name
  • Date of birth
  • Preferred language

Driving licence

  • Licence number
  • Issuing authority and country

Card details

  • Card number, generation (G1, G2v1, G2v2)
  • Renewal and replacement index
  • Issuing member state and authority, date of issue
  • Validity start date and expiry date

Download

  • Date of this download (determined from the file name) and date of the previous download
  • Name and size of the generated file
  • Compatibility level

The compatibility level usually matches the card's generation. However, if a card was downloaded with a device that did not yet recognise newer-generation cards and therefore did not download all their data, it can be lower than that. In this app too, you can set the generation according to which a card should be downloaded. See Settings.

First and last use

The card has storage space of different sizes for different data types. As a result, some data may be available for a longer historical period, while other data may only be available for a shorter one.

  • First/Last card insertion
  • First/Last activity
  • First/Last country code

In our experience, the storage space reserved for country codes on the driver card fills up the fastest. When this happens, newer entries gradually overwrite the older ones. As a result, it often happens that some of the country codes recorded in the last 28 days can no longer be found on the card, even though they are needed for a complete evaluation. We therefore recommend downloading the driver card more frequently.
