Importing a file

You can also import tachograph files created with another device (e.g. a hardware download key) or with other programs into the app, and analyse them together with your own downloads.

What files can be imported?

Standard tachograph files: .ddd, .esm, .tgd and .c1b (the vehicle-side counterpart is .v1b). The app recognises whether the file contains driver card or tachograph data based on its content, and places it in the appropriate Archive.

The driver card does not contain the time of the download (only the last download preceding its creation). The actual time a driver card file was downloaded can only be determined from the file name, so it is important that the file name contains this in addition to the card number. If it contradicts the data found in the file, the time of the last driver activity is used as the download time.

How do you import?

  • open the file on your phone from the file manager — the system will offer the app to open it (if the file arrived as an attachment, save it first before importing);
  • in the Archive, press the add button and mark the files to import in the window that appears (multiple files can be selected at once).

Every imported file is added as a separate entry — the import does not merge or deduplicate items (importing the same file twice creates two entries). Merging only happens while the various reports are being generated, so that you can view even several years of data at once.
